Monitor Audio to debut high-res MQA-enabled IMS-4 Music Streamer at ISE 2020

If you want an early earful of Monitor Audio’s slick new IMS-4 music streamer, get along to ISE 2020. The brand has confirmed that it will be demonstrating this versatile newcomer at the show, providing visitors with their first chance to see this new addition to Monitor Audio’s growing range of custom install solutions.

Built on the BluOS platform, the slimline IMS-4 can stream to four separate zones, with its BluOS Controller app offering easy streaming from music services and networked music libraries. Through BluOS, the IMS-4 is also compatible with Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) recordings.

Multiple IMS-4 Music Streamers can be integrated with other BluOS devices to provide up to 64 zones of music, with each zone able to play together in sync or play different streams to separate zones. BluOS supports streaming of lossless music up to 24-bit/192kHz across a home network.

Monitor Audio suggests that the IMS-4 is partnered with an installation amplifier such as its IA150-8C, and integrated with Crestron, Control4 and RTI. It’s also compatible with voice control via a smart device.

ISE runs February 11-14, at the Amsterdam RAI.
