Monitor Audio’s Technical Director, Dean Hartley, has announced his retirement. Hartley has held the position of Technical Director since 1997, leading the design and development of new loudspeaker technologies and innovative driver concepts. The Silver Series and the range-topping Platinum family are two of Dean’s most successful speaker designs.
Michael Hedges, returning to Monitor Audio after 2 and half years in the Infotainment team at Jaguar Land Rover, will take up the position of Technical Director, and will work closely with Product design director Charles Minett.
Hartley’s next project is apparently building a house from scratch in Yorkshire. We suspect it might have a rather nice listening room.
