Monitor Audio has unveiled the seventh generation of its popular Silver Series loudspeakers. First introduced in 1999, the range has been consistently lauded for its balance of performance, finish and value.
The line-up comes Hi-Fi and home cinema applications, and comprises the Silver 50 7G and Silver 100 7G bookshelf/standmount speakers, Silver 200 7G, Silver 300 7G and Silver 500 7G floorstanders, Silver C250 7G centre channel, Silver FX 7G rear surround speakers and Silver AMS 7G Dolby Atmos enclosure.
This latest Silver Series features a new, contemporary design in a choice of five finishes: high-gloss black lacquer, equally distinctive satin white, or a choice of three real-wood veneers: Ash, Natural Walnut and Black Oak (although the FX 7G and AMS 7G Dolby Atmos enabled speaker are only available in Gloss Black and Satin white).
The models are distinguished by new driver trims, designed to minimise the appearance of the driver surround. Revised magnetic grilles boast a premium grade weave, for visual depth and texture.
All sport a C-CAM gold dome tweeter with a new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. The RST II mid-range and mid/bass drivers embrace a new hexagonal dimpled structure, said to result in a smoother, low-distortion sound.
Every floorstander is supplied with outrigger feet with spun metal trims, for improved stability on carpeted or hard floors.
All Silver Series speakers are designed and engineered in the UK.
