High-end audio specialist Mola Mola has launched its first integrated amplifier, the Kula. Taking design cues from the brand’s Makua preamp, the compact Kula combines an exclusive Mola Mola developed power supply and power-amplifier capable of delivering 2 x 150W/8Ω, (2 x 300W/4Ω), with an expandable modular design.
The Kula’s Makua-inspired layout offers a line stage having three pairs of balanced and 3 pairs of single-ended inputs, as well as Mola Mola’s MC/MM phono stage and modular DAC section. Two Pairs of Furutech binding posts are directly connected to the amplifier PCB using Kubala·Sosna cable.
Phono Stage and DAC are optional. The phono stage supplies independent adjustable settings while the ground-breaking 32-bit DAC stage features five digital inputs including USB, optical, AES, Roon-ready endpoint and Bluetooth.
The Kula can be used with an optional Premium Remote control, Mola Mola remote app and is Roon Ready, if the DAC option is fitted.
Commenting on Kula’s introduction, Andy Baker of UK distributor Sound Design Distribution said “we believe that great hi-fi should aim to be the perfect balance of performance and usability. This precise combination of class-leading properties ensures that the Kula will astound you. It is the integrated amplifier that truly belies its size!”
The Mola Mola Kula amp retails for £9,999, with DAC and Phono Stage an optional £5,999 and £1799 respectively). Distribution is via Sound Design Distribution.
