M&K Sound has announced a trio of new subwoofers, two of which are THX certified. The V15+, V12+ and V10+ feature 15-, 12- and 10-inch drivers respectively. Power output is rated at 300W and 400W RMS for the V10+ and V12+, an improvement on their predecessor V10/V12 models, while the V15+ lands with a 500W power plant.

The 15-inch V15+ warrants THX Certified Ultra status, when two M&K V15+ subwoofers are used together, while the 12-inch V12+ boasts THX Certified Select status; each can attain professional cinema audio reference levels in rooms of up to 3,000ft3 and 2,000ft3, respectively.

The V15+ is the first 15-inch driver enclosure to join the V family of products, while the V10+ and V12+ have had their deep bass frequency response extended from 25Hz (on the former V12 and V10 models) down to 20Hz (-6dB).

Both the V15+ and V12+ subwoofers support configuration via the M&K App; in addition to adjustments for volume, crossover frequency, delay and phase, the app provides onboard control options to manage Manual EQ and Auto EQ parameters.

Manual EQ allows users to adjust frequency, gain and ‘Q’ of four independent EQs. Auto EQ compensates and corrects for acoustical room anomalies which can cause inferior bass performance.

“With ever more demand for reference bass performance in living rooms and small home cinemas, we believed it was time to overhaul our hugely successful V Series subwoofers to develop the new V+ Series for a wider, décor-conscious, and discerning audience,” said Per Becher, Chief Executive Officer, M&K Sound.

All three models are available in Black Satin. The V10+ and V12+ also come in White Satin luxury finishes. When it comes to design, the trio wear new curved, tapered external housings, to help them blend a little easier with interiors.

The trio are priced £1,295 / $1,499 (V10+), £1,795 / $1,899 (V12+) and £2,695 / $3,199 (V15+), and should arrive in the UK March. Distribution is via Gecko Home Cinema.
