Meridian will be focusing on its two new 258 and power amplifiers at ISE 2017. The 258 is a dedicated 1U rack-mount eight-channel power amplifier that can be integrated with any existing passive loudspeaker system. A Class D design, it’s suitable for a wide range of applications and delivers more than 100W per channel into 4 Ohms, so is not short on muscle.  It’s priced at £1,250 (ex VAT).

Joining it is the Meridian 857,  a reference two-channel power amplifier delivering 500W per channel into 4 Ohms. This Hi-Res Audio amplifier, bridgeable to >1.5KW, is available as a dedicated rack-mount variant and incorporates a totally new design based upon extensive research. Meridian says the 857 represents a step change in amplifier design. It’s listed at £5,000 (ex VAT).

The final product to be previewed at ISE 2017 will be the new Meridian 218 Zone controller (pictured above). Combining digital and analogue inputs and outputs, the Sooloos/MQA–enabled 218 is suitable for a wide range of distributed audio applications from single zone to multi-zone use. With control features including IP and IR, easily integrated with third Party control systems, this 1U-high product can be rack, shelf, or wall mounted. It’s listed at £625 (ex VAT).

As part of an extensive ISE 2017 education programme, Meridian’s Chief Technical Officer Richard Hollinshead will present Making the Most of HD Audio on Wednesday, February 8. The talk, which begins at  9:30am in room D202, will explore the importance of high resolution audio. Also sure to attract interest is Listening to Music and Movies in the Year 2020, which takes place at the CEDIA booth at 10:30 am on Tuesday Feburary 7. To book a place on this training course, visit www.iseurope.org/meridian.

Meridian will also showcase a newly updated Design and Specification Service at ISE, to help dealers integrate the new products into designs for home theatres. All dealers have to do is send a plan of the room or home where they are installing the system, and Meridian will return a schematic that details where to position speakers, audio panels, and projector and screen to ensure that the technology is optimized to provide the ultimate movie-watching experience. The service can also show how Meridian components can interface with third-party control options and existing audio and video distribution systems. The Design and Specification Service saves design time and reduces costs for dealers working on whole-home, home theater, or super-yacht projects and ensures that customers receive the very best experience.

MA Theatre FINAL

Merdian recently inked at deal with Barco Residential that enables dealers to specify Barco projectors into Meridian projects. Meridian has also signed recent partnerships to distribute Cinema - ATS in the UK, an acoustic treatment solution for home theatres, and DT Screens.
