The Indulgence Show continues to attract headline names from the world of high-end audio. Aiming to feature the world’s best home and portable audio entertainment, alongside a variety of complementary luxury products from around the globe, the event runs October 14 – 16, at London’s Novotel London West, Hammersmith.

Meridian Audio has announced that it will support DALI UK at the event. The High-Res Audio advocate will be providing its brand new Reference Two-Channel Power Amplifier 857 (pictured above) to power DALI’s passive loudspeakers, as well as its recently-released Ultra DAC (pictured below).

The Meridian 857 is a Reference two-channel power amplifier delivering 500W per channel into 4 Ohms (bridgeable to more than 1.5KW).  It incorporates a totally new design which the brand says represents a step change. Similarly, with considerable connectivity options and format support, the Ultra DAC boasts an extensive list of performance-enhancing technologies, including Dual Mono DAC cards and advanced DSP filter options.

“We are delighted to be supporting DALI at this prestigious show,” said Rayner Sheridan, Director of Marketing at Meridian. “At Meridian we focus on making sure our technology not only provides market-leading performance, but also works exceptionally well with other brands, and supporting DALI at the Indulgence Show gives us a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate this. Our collaboration with DALI is a natural fit, as their mission to provide the best experience for their customers echoes our own ambition.”

DALI will be demonstrating its flagship Epicon 8 loudspeaker system. The show will also mark the official UK debut of the DALI Katch wireless speaker.

“DALI and Meridian make for a great combination,” says Matt Miller, National Sales and Marketing manager at DALI UK. “Both brands have a single-minded focus on delivering market-leading hi-fi products that deliver genuinely memorable musical performances. The Indulgence show will be the perfect showcase for us to demonstrate what we can offer.”

Meanwhile, Leema Acoustics will be demonstrating its new Quasar amplifier/DAC with on-board streaming (pictured above). The £2,995 Quasar forms part of Leema’s new Stellar series and benefits from the same machine-billet aluminium front panel styling of its Constellation series stablemates. The Quasar’s dual-mono output section provides 200 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms.

The Quasar’s internal DAC benefits from three co-axial inputs and three optical inputs, plus Leema's M1 asynchronous USB interface.  Bluetooth is also included. Quasar has DLNA/UPNP compatibility, and supports internet radio, Deezer, Spotify Connect and Tidal.

Elsewhere, Vertere Acoustics will be demonstrating a £220,000 show system (pictured below), featuring the brand’s new STAGE-1, STAND-1 bespoke supports and AT ART-1000 MC cartridge. The system comprises electronics from FM Acoustics of Switzerland (making its UK show debut) – including the FM 122MKII Phono, FM 245 preamp, plus a quartet of FM 108 mono power amps – and uses reference loudspeakers from famous maker PMC.  Vertere also provides premium cabling throughout the set-up.

The show will also mark the debut vinyl release from Vertere Acoustics new record label. Featuring three new tracks from Caezar – the band fronted by two former members of The Silencers, who also wrote the tracks – the release was mastered by Miles Showell of Abbey Road Studios, using his innovative ½ speed cutting technique.
