High-Res Audio solutions will be a major attraction from Meridian Audio at ISE 2018. The company plans on unveiling a number of new products, as well as revealing how installers can create the best possible listening experience for their clients.

Leading the way will be the UHD722 Ultra High Definition HDMI processor. A 4K switching solution, it incorporates a Multichannel Meridian High Resolution (MMHR) output, enabling connection to existing processors, and producing “a significant uplift” in an audio system’s sound quality.

The UHD722 features Meridian high resolution Upsampling and Apodising technologies to offer the best possible performance from Blu-ray Disc, satellite TV receivers and games consoles.

Integrators will be able to preview the 210 Streamer, which will bring Bluetooth, Apple Airplay and Spotify Connect to Meridian products. The brand also plans on expanding its 200 series range. These include the 271 Digital Theatre Controller, which integrates any analogue or digital AV processor or receiver with Meridian’s DSP loudspeakers, as well as the 251 Powered Zone Controller, which has a number of analogue speaker applications (pictured below)

There will also be a chance to audition the latest iteration of the award-winning M6 Digital Active Loudspeaker. The M6 can now function as a solo speaker courtesy of new mono mode. Both the left and right channels are summed, using Meridian’s own mono algorithms, first developed for the in-wall DSP320.

“Integrators and our customers care about an authentic audio experience,” explains Katy Bradshaw, Meridian’s director of marketing. “We’ve listened to what they’ve told us, and we’re delighted to bring a great series of Meridian products to ISE 2018. These innovations underline how we share the same goals - transforming the way people experience sound.”

At the show, Meridian will explain more about its complimentary Design and Specification Service for home theatre installs. This service offers complete solutions, featuring Meridian products allied to Meridian partners Barco Residential, Display Technologies and Cinema-ATS acoustic treatment. Visitors to Barco’s sound room at ISE (Sound Room E107) will have the opportunity to experience Meridian audio sound quality together with Barco projectors.

As part of the Professional Development Programme at ISE 2018, Meridian’s Education Manager, Hugo Fitzjohn will host Streaming Hi-Res Audio in the Home on Tuesday, February 6, between 14:00 – 15:30 in Room D201. To book a place on this ISE education session, click here.
