Meridian Audio has won two awards from this year’s CEDIA Expo in Denver, bringing home the CEDIA Award for Best New Hardware in the Americas region, as well as an award for the new Meridian DSP640.2 In-Wall Loudspeaker.

The DSP640.2 In-Wall Loudspeaker saw off tough competition from Lutron, Samsung, and Sony, to win the Best New Hardware category in the Americas CEDIA Awards 2019. The CEDIA Awards recognised the technical excellence and product innovation. The judges were especially impressed by the dynamic audio and unmatched levels of performance delivered by Meridian’s DSP640.2 speakers, powered by Meridian’s ‘CLASS-M’ DSP engine and integrated with ‘DYNAMIC’ Hi-Res amplifiers.

“Winning the CEDIA Best New Hardware category is a fantastic achievement for Meridian and all the team behind the DSP640.2,” says John Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer at Meridian Audio. “The DSP640.2 is a game-changer for the architectural loudspeaker category. It raises the bar for powerful, dynamic and immersive audio experiences in cinemas and media rooms, capable of a very high SPL with ultra-low distortion for an emotional experience We’d like to thank CEDIA for their recognition. Watch this space for even more Meridian innovations coming soon.”

Meridian’s also secured a CE Pro BEST gong for Best Product in the Architectural Range category, for the Meridian DSP640.2 In-Wall Loudspeaker.
