High-end Hi-Fi audio outfit McIntosh has launched two new dedicated amplifier stands, the AS125 and AS901. Specifically engineered to provide the optimum support for McIntosh’s highest-performance monoblocks, they can also be used as supports for McIntosh integrated amplifiers and other hi-fi components.

The stands are hewn from sustainably sourced, solid white ash, which is resistant to both scratches and dents. Their construction uses a face-glued technique and features an edge-grain top, for improved strength, durability and stability.

The stands comprise a 7.62 cm-thick primary wood slab, finished with multiple coats of jet-black stain, plus a catalysed lacquer topcoat. A McIntosh logo faceplate, illuminated via the rear-mounted Power Control ports, adds additional detail; the four feet feature protective pads to both minimise vibration and protect floors.

The AS125 is ideally suited to McIntosh monoblock amplifiers, past and present. A single AS125 can also be deployed with McIntosh’s integrated amplifiers. The AS125 measures 45.2 wide x 10.3 tall x 45.7cm deep.

The AS901 is specifically designed to be used with the McIntosh MC901 Dual Mono Amplifier. It’s the same width and height as the AS125, but is 30 cm longer (the same length as the MC901).

The AS125 andAS901are priced at £3,495 and £3,995 respectively. Distribution is via Fine Sounds UK.
