McIntosh is introducing an all-in-one turntable with Bluetooth 4.2. Capable of vinyl playback and music streaming, the MTI100 is designed as a complete home audio system. With built-in amplifier, DAC and digital inputs, all that needs to be added are speakers.
The belt-drive MTI100 plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm vinyl records. The deck features a machined-aluminium platter and matching machined-aluminium tonearm, which sits atop 9.5mm glass and custom 6.35mm metal plate. It comes with a Sumiko Olympia Moving Magnet cartridge.
The power amplifier features a vacuum tube preamplifier section, and sports an unbalanced auxiliary input, digital audio coaxial and optical inputs, a subwoofer output and a headphone jack.
Amplification is rated at 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Two 12AX7 vacuum tubes power the main preamplifier section, while a separate dedicated phono preamplifier is housed in a custom shielding box.
The MTI100 will retail for £7,500 when it ships into the UK in March.
