Linn has released new iterations of its acclaimed high-end Akubarik and Akudorik loudspeakers featuring its latest Katalyst DAC architecture. The state of the art converter, housed within a specially designed module, is suspension-mounted on the back of each speaker. This new combination of Katalyst with Exakt audio processing, promises users the most authentic musical experience yet, says Linn.

Both systems also utilise the brand’s patented Space Optimisation technology to enhance performance based on the acoustic properties of any given listening room.

Katalyst, Linn’s 4th Generation DAC, manages the creation of the analogue signal with a precision the brand has never been able to offer before. Linn's Akubarik speakers feature tech trickled down from the flagship Klimax system. The stablemate Akudorik’s occupy no more space than a standard standmount speaker, but pack in considerably more technology. Inside CI has been test driving the Akudorik system prior to launch, and can attest to its astonishing musicality.

Both the new Akubarik and Akudorik featuring Katalyst are available in a wide choice of finishes. Owners of existing systems can also upgrade.

The Akubarik system with Katalyst sells for £30,200. The Akudorik Katalyst system retails for £20,200. Akudorik speakers alone are £17,500. An Akubarik upgrade is £4,800, while an Akudorik upgrade is £3,500.
