Hi-Fi specialist Linn has re-launched its Akudorik and Akubarik systems with Akurate Exakt, the advanced all-digital speaker enhancement technology.

First introduced in 2013, Exakt is designed to remove the noise and distortion found in the traditional analogue hi-fi chain, effectively extending the lossless digital signal path directly to the speaker. The original analogue crossover in the loudspeaker is bypassed and instead, Akurate performs the crossover digitally, eliminating distortion and optimizing the loudspeakers’ performance for the room.

Hand-made in Scotland, each system features an Akurate Exakt DSM network music player and a choice of either Akubarik or Akudorik speakers in real wood or high gloss finishes.

The Akubarik system (comprising Akubarik speakers and Akurate Exakt DSM streaming player), retails for £27,700. The Akudorik system (Akudorik speakers and Akurate Exakt DSM) sells for £19,000. Akubarik floorstanding speakers with Exakt technology are listed at £25,000, while Akudorik intergrated stand-mount speakers retail for £16,300.
