LG Electronics will show a 55-inch transparent OLED signage display during ISE 2018, in Amsterdam this week. The expo, the largest trade show in the world devoted to Pro AV and digital signage solutions, is expected to feature a number of innovative display technologies, including 8K DLP projectors for specialist applications.

We’ve seen transparent, interactive displays at ISE before, but primarily using LCD technology. While OLED has made limited in-roads into digital signage, the cost of the technology is still seen as prohibitive for the wider industry, particularly where large scales displays are commonplace.

In addition to transparent OLED screen, LG will also show large scale and signage displays for retail, leisure, hospitality, SMBs and transport applications, on its booth 12-k90.

ISE runs February 6-9, at the Amsterdam RAI.
