LG Europe has confirmed ThinQ AI technology will be introduced into both OLED screens and soundbars this year. The company showed a range of artifical intelligence-enabled electronics at its recent European dealer expo InnoFest 2018, held at the prestigious Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

ThinQ, which supports voice control via Google Assistant, will feature on the brand’s premium Signature OLED TV range, SK9 and SK10 soundbars and a new ThinQ smart speaker. OLED owners will be able to channel channels, alter volume and change screen presets using voice control. LG also announced that the technology would control devices from other manufacturers.

LG is also ramping up its smart appliance line, adding InstaView Door-in-Door into both side-by-side refrigerators as well as multi-door models and washers, which also work within the ThinQ ecosystem.

The company organised an artificial intelligence exhibition zone, dubbed LG ThinkQuest, to demonstrate 'Deep Thinking' appliances.

Na Young-bae, Vvice president of LG Electronics Europe, declared that LG would use artificial intelligence appliances to “raise LG brand's position in the European premium market.”
