KEF has announced that its recently launched wireless Hi-Fi speakers, the LS50 Wireless II, now support Tidal Connect, allowing users to enjoy the convenience of streaming directly from the Tidal native app.
Tidal HiFi members can enjoy uninterrupted playback of their favourite albums or tracks in their preferred quality on their preferred devices, with the Tidal app functioning as a controller.
Users can connect to their LS50 Wireless II speakers by opening the Now Playing screen while playing a song, click on the device selector on the bottom left, and the KEF LS50 Wireless II speaker.
Tidal Connect is the only casting technology to feature support for the extended audio formats available through Tidal HiFi, including Master Quality Authenticated recordings (MQA), and Dolby Atmos. MQA promises master quality sound as the artist intended it, while Dolby Atmos Music provides immersive audio experiences through spatialised, object-based audio.
The LS50 Wireless II features advanced Digital Signal Processing, KEF’s Music Integrity Engine, and 380W of amplification. A new 100W class A/B amplifier powers the tweeters and a 280W class D amplifier powers the mid/bass drivers. LS50 Wireless II is available in four finishes; Carbon Black, Titanium Grey, Mineral White as well as a Crimson Red Special Edition.
