JBL has given its iconic L100 loudspeaker and new lease of life, bringing it back to UK Hi-Fi shops. The loudspeaker gained fame in the Maxell tape advertising of the time. The newly remade L100 classic is available for £4,000 a pair.

This new iteration uses the retro walnut veneer design of the original, with a vintage Quadrex foam grille, and is available in black, blue or orange. The L100 Classic is internally braced and features a 25mm-thick baffle.

The new L100 features all new drivers, crossover network and advanced transducer technology. A new one-inch titanium dome tweeter is partnered with a 130mm polymer-coated, purepulp midrange cone and 12-inch white pure pulp cone bass woofer, single front-firing port tube.

It comes with adjustable mid- and high frequency level controls. Installation options include an optional JBL metal stand.
