Integrated Systems Europe continues to grow apace. The show, which recently inked a deal to stay at the Amerstdam RAI until at least 2016, has confirmed that its first first-ever Keynote Address will be given by Gerhard Schulz, Ingram Micro's Senior VP for Central Europe. Schulz will explain how he thinks the electronic systems integration community can respond to the challenges posed by the transition from analogue to digital.

In his 'Blueprint for Business Growth in the Digital Age', Schulz will reveal how Ingram Micro, now the world's largest technology distributor, found success by partnering with manufacturers, integrators and resellers on the global stage.

"The lessons learned by Ingram Micro have an irresistible resonance for the audiovisual industry as it confronts a networked future," says Schulz.

Mike Blackman, Managing Director for Integrated Systems Events says: "We searched long and hard to find the right voice to articulate the threats and opportunities posed by this convergence, and believe we have found the perfect partner in Gerhard Schulz." Blackman believes that the Ingram Micro experience mirrors the evolution being felt by so many AV and IT companies today.

Schulz says his business continues to evolve as it meets manufacturers, adds new technologies and embraces new reseller and integrator channels. "We now see the emergence of a series of mega-trends that present fantastic new opportunities. I want to demonstrate to ISE attendees not just how they can add value to their business, but which markets will deliver the brightest growth prospects and which competencies they will need to acquire in order to service those markets."

ISE runs January 31 to February 2, 2012. The Keynote Address will begin at 6:00pm on the 30th. It will be followed by an opening reception where attendees will have the chance to network with their peers over complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

ISE's Mike Blackman says the address will be the perfect curtain raiser for ISE 2012. "Gerhard Schulz's Keynote will go beyond technological change to address the way we will all be doing business in the years to come. As such it has relevance to every market sector served by ISE - from professional presentation and display to unified communications, live events, home automation and energy management."
