Hisense has slashed the price of large screen 4K TV, with the introduction of a 75-inch UHD flatpanel that retails at just £2,499. The 75M7900 sports a smart metallic finish and is being positioned as the big-screen best suited for waching this years EURO 2016 championships (Hisense is the official CE partner of the event). It would also seem a tempting proposition for home cinema and media rooom buyers.

The 75M7900 has four HDMIs, however integrators should be aware that only two are HDCP 2.2 compliant. There’s also a trio of USB inputs, and a digital optical audio  output.

In addition to 2160p resolution and a wide colour gamut, the set is also HDR ready. Behind the panel is a quad core processor, and Hisense’s own Smart TV platform. Connected services include BBC iPlayer, Amazon Video and 4K Netflix. There’s also a built in web browser. Anyview Cast and Anyview Stream allow users to share content from smartphones, tablets or computers.

Hisense now claims to be the world’s second largest producer of 4K panels, and is ranked third in the global TV market. In its home market of China, it has been market leader for twelve years straight.
