4K  HDR

Fast rising TV brand Hisense has introduced a new low price 4K HDR (High Dynamic Range)-enabled curved TV, the 55-inch M6600. Over the past two years, the Chinese manufacturer has poured pressure on the mid-range market, with well specified, high-value screens. The subtly curved £700 M6600 set continues in this vein.

In addition to HDR support, the TV is network connected with BBC iPlayer, 4K Amazon Video, 4k YouTube and 4K Netflix on board, as well as on-demand service Wuaki.tv. In addition, a built-in web browser allows users to surf the web with the TV remote. The set boasts a quad core processor for sprightly navigation.

DBX audio technology is employed for effective cinematic sound without the need for a soundbar. Onboard dbx-tv Total Technology provides customised frequency response, dynamic bass boost and 3D sound for improved clarity and enhanced bass. Total Volume addresses sound fluctuation by keeping noise levels consistent across all channels and content. Total Surround completes the package, designed to create an enveloping sound stage with clear dialogue.

Image processing includes 4K upscaling for 1080p sources, high-contrast HDR and an extended colour gamut for HDR content.

The brand says the concave screen has a footprint that makes for easy placement in the home when either hung on the wall or placed on furniture.
