Following on from the formation of Habitech’s Pro Division, Habitech Professional, the distributor has announced two complementary Commercial AV training courses. dedicated to the installation of discreet high performance AV in shops, clubs, bars, restaurants and hotels.

The first is a one-day ‘Introduction to Commercial AV’ course this May, which aims to give custom installation professionals a better understanding of the differences between residential AV systems and those used in commercial applications.

It will cover everything from power and impedance requirements, such as low impedance serial/parallel applications and high impedance constant voltage systems), to audio management and AVoIP. All attendees will gain hands-on experience in designing a system.

The day-two ‘Commercial AV Integrator’ course is aimed at engineers who have attended the ‘Introduction to Commercial AV’ course, or those with greater experience of Commercial AV installation.

It covers the more advanced aspects of CAV deployment including introduction to CAV configuration software; organising CAV diagrams; configuring an MTX/MRX system using MTX/XMV Editor, including a hands-on practical, and wiring video and audio sources.

As part of the training the distributor will introduce Habitech Professional’s expanding product range. This will include Sonance Professional Series of distributed audio in-ceiling, pendant and all-weather on-wall speakers; Yamaha Pro’s configurable multi-zone power amplifiers and versatile audio processors; Wyrestorm’s ‘Network HD’ video-over-IP platform; Ruckus’ switch technology and wireless solutions, and iPort’s ‘Surface-Mount’ platform of iPad wall-mount solutions.

Also contributing value-added power to the ProAV space are Habitech’s audio design services utilising EASE Software and the proven talents of Giovanni Scatola in support of two new Business Development specialists: James Dennis ex Bose Pro and Gareth Cooke, ex Harman and Ministry of Sound.

Habitech plans to show many of its pro AV products at Essential Install Live 2019, which runs April 30-May 1 at the Farnborough Exhibition Centre.
