Habitech has announced that its annual product and networking event, TechFest, will take place September 24-27, at its Basingstoke base.
The four day event will offer custom integrators a first look at innovations unveiled at CEDIA Expo, and feature a seminar programme covering the big technology issues facing the industry today. Talks will explain HDR and 4K UHD distribution, audio breakthroughs in the Sonance repertoire, and new home cinema technologies.
UK product premieres will include a new projector line from JVC, additions to the Sonance loudspeaker line-up, and WyreStorm product launches. A new range of Ruckus switches, modules, WLAN and controllers, will also be unveiled.
The Habitech Techfest will also host the launch of Legrand’s MyHOME_Up home automation system, a plug-and-play smartphone solution for whole-home control over lighting, heating, audio, video, blinds and security.
AV is also a big draw. Refurbished using services supplied by acoustic treatment specialist CinemaTech, new cinemas and stereo listening spaces will also be on open for business. There will be demos of 20-channel processing in Habitech’s flagship 9:4:4 Wisdom theatre, with 20-channel immersive audio processing, and a chance to experience the 9:4:4 Sonance Reference Theatre, starring Sonance Reference series cinema speakers, Arcam electronics and Dolby Vision HDR sources.
There will also be a chance to hear Wisdom’s Insight P2i in-walls, Sonance VP models, Sonance IS4 and ISW invisible speakers and adjustable-width soundbars. Outside, Habitech will also be playing Sonance Landscape Series of outdoor speakers.
Newly designed demonstration walls promise to make product comparison easy. The iPort Wall will feature twenty different iPad mounts, while the Sonance Sub Wall will show how room-shaking LFE can be hidden from view. There will also be a variety of Yamaha MusiCast products on display.
