Habitech wants to take integrators from gigabit to multi-gigabit networking at its upcoming TechFest 10G showcase. To be held in Basingstoke, January 2020, the distributor is promising to unveil an array of 10G products that will showcase the potential of 10G network architecture end-to-end, from wired to wireless.
In 2012, just before the introduction of 802.11ac’s Gigabit productivity, Habitech created the ProNet platform of IP tools and training, to give custom install professionals the IP networking knowledge required to meet the expansion in on-line entertainment.
Today Habitech says it is ready to introduce the next big evolution in Wi-Fi technology, including Wi-Fi 6 APs and switches.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is able to accommodate many more devices simultaneously, thanks to a four-fold increase in data capacity, at speeds approaching 10Gbps. The challenge is to create a supporting network architecture.
At TechFest 10G, Habitech is preparing its widest multi-gig showcase of products and knowhow, inculding the Ruckus R750 WF6 AP, compatible WF6-ready entry-level switch architecture from Ruckus, new 10GbE Draytek switches, 10G IP and, copper/fibre termination training.
Also launching at TechFest 10G, will be WatchGuard’s advanced plug-and-play Firewall network products, including its Firebox T15, T35 and T55 table-top firewall modules. The promise is of enterprise-grade security solutions.
At the event, there will also be product unveils from Arcam, Acurus, Dahua, JVC, Lutron, Wisdom and Yamaha, supported by free-of-charge seminars.
The TechFest 10G showcase will be held at Basingstoke, January 21-22. To register, integrators should complete the form here.
