GJD TechSmart devices now incorporate Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) software for integration with Control4. The TechSmart range, distributed by Invision, consists of proximity detectors, precision laser sensors, Infra-Red and White-Light LED illuminators, which integrate perfectly within Lutron and Rako lighting control systems. The new SDDP software should enable more flexible home automation solutions.

Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s Managing Director commented: “We are extremely pleased to be a Control4 partner. The addition of SDDP software and certified Control4 Drivers considerably simplifies integration and enhances Control4 smart home systems. GJD’s products measure outdoor light level and ambient temperature, as well as providing perimeter detection and early intruder warning alerts to optimise environmental control and provide peace of mind for the home owner.”

With SDDP, the Control4 home automation system will automatically find and add the GJD SDDP-enabled devices to the platform, reducing complexity and installation time for Control4 dealers. Custom Integrators could also save time avoiding potential programming mistakes.
