We may still waiting for compatible AV receivers to land and firmware upgrades to begin, but Lionsgate has already confirmed that the first Blu-ray to support the new DTS:X 3D audo codec will be the science fiction outing Ex Machina – at least in the US market. Due out Stateside July 14, the disc will also include an in-depth behind-the-scenes featurette that examines the visual effects, story development, cast and characters, production design, cinematography and costumes. Additional supplemental material includes a Q&A with cast and crew from SXSW and eight vignettes.

In addition to the DTS:X mix, fully compatible with DTS HD Master Audio decoders, the disc includes a DTS Headphone:X option, which offers immersive audio through any headphones, no proprietary hardware required.

The disc is released in the UK on June 1, but does not appear to have the DTS:X soundtrack option.
