Epson is now shipping its latest Ultra Short throw laser projector, the EH-LS500. Designed for home use, the model boasts a high brightness 4000 lumens light output, for use in media rooms with high ambient light, and can cast an image upwards of 130-inches when positioned around a metre from a wall (or screen).
First seen at 2019’s CEDIA Expo, image resolution is rated as Enhanced 4k, using the brand’s pixel shifting technology, with contrast ratio a claimed 2,500,000:1. The use of a laser light source effectively making the unit maintenance free. Epson claims a ten year life span.
Connectivity comprises two HDMI inputs, Ethernet with optional wireless hook-up via the brand’s ELPAP10 adapter. The projector support both HDR10 and HLG sources, with Rec.709 colour and has as a built-in 10W stereo sound system.
The Epson EH-LS500 has a retail price of £2,599.
