French audio specialist Elipson has enhanced its CI audio portfolio with the A680, a six channel multi-zone amplifier. The new amp is built around three stereo amplifier modules, giving a total power output of 480W into 4ohms.
It sports two bus inputs for audio sources, with the ability to connect multiple A680 units together for larger whole home audio projects. Integrators can switch between the audio signal bus or individual stereo line inputs for each zone.
There are also individual adjustments for voltage input, with a trigger mode, auto mode, auto standby mode, stereo and bridge (up to 3 x 150W into 8ohms).
A dedicated chip-set mitigates against excessive heat build-up, says the brand. Sized at 2U, the A680 is supplied with optional mounting brackets for AV racking.
