French speaker specialist Elipson has announced a new dedicated home theatre speaker range. The Infinite Series comprises three different in-wall models, which can be installed on-wall or on-ceiling or in-wall and in-ceiling. The cabinets have a satin black frontage with a black tinted brushed aluminum panel. There’s an option of both ine or Speakon connectors.
The LCRS14 speaker has been for front and surround duties in a larger theatre; the smaller SR8 is intended as a surround channel speaker for smaller rooms, or as an in-ceiling speaker for 3D audio. Both feature a non-resonant diaphragm design tweeter which has wide dispersion characteristics.
Mid bass drivers are made from lightweight Rohacell foam and carbon fibre, said to offer wide dynamics and fast transient response.
The partnering Sub12 passive subwoofer has a 300mm driver and can drop to 28Hz, says Epsilion. The company will be supplying a new Infinite A1000 Monoral 1000W Class D Amp for amplification.
All Infinite speaker cabinets feature a reinforced internal structure with acoustic damping treatment.
The LCRS14 sell for £1,549 each, with the 14s at £899. The Sub12 subwoofer is priced at £1,549.
