Danish audio specialist Dynaudio has launched eleven new products at CEDIA Expo.  The expansive new line-up comprises a new Custom Performance range of slimline in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, plus a special fire-resistant back-box, two new outdoor loudspeakers, an in-surface subwoofer and special control software for home integration systems.

The Dynaudio Custom Performance series all share the same depth. The rectangular in-wall speakers are a one-piece design that slots into place and is secured by tightening special dog-legs that grip the dry-wall. Fitting the round ceiling speakers is as easy as fitting the frame and then twisting the speaker unit in to lock it in place, says the brand. No tools are required.

Making up the Performance series are the P4-W65 and P4-W80 in-wall speakers, the P4-C65, P4-DVC65 and P4-C80 in-ceiling speakers, and the • P4-LCR50 in-wall LCR speaker.

There is also an accompanying shallow-depth, fire-proof metal back-box. It’s packed with Morgan Superwool to provide one hour of protection at up to 1200 ̊C, and will mount into standard 16-inch-on-centre studs.

Dynaudio Custom Outdoor Dynaudio has also announced two outdoor speakers. Available in black or white, with articulating brackets, both the OW-6 and OW-8 are IP65-rated. They can be connected to a regular amplifier as passive speakers, or daisy-chained on a single 70V/100V system by using the selector on the rear.

Also new at the show is the Custom Subwoofer RCC (reaction cancelling configuration), to complement its Performance and Studio series products. Due to go on sale late october, the RCC subwoofer design means it can be installed in walls, ceilings or floors with no back-box necessary. It is designed to be retro-fittable and easy to ship.

The RS 500 DSP-controlled unit is matched and tuned out of the box for the Sub RCC with Dynaudio EQs and limiters. Installers can also tweak the unit’s graphic EQ if needed. Each amp can power two Sub RCC units.

Dynaudio has also teamed-up with UK-based custom-install software house Intrinsic Dev, to create bespoke zone-control drivers that enable full integration for Dynaudio Music multiroom speakers and Dynaudio Connect products, with ELAN, Control4 and Crestron systems. Savant support will follow later in 2019. Connect is a wireless link for Dynaudio’s high-end active speakers

“We want to make it as easy as possible for installers to do their jobs, which is why we’ve kept our entire Custom range super-simple to specify and install,” says Peter Gibb, Business Development Manager, Europe (CI). “But most of all, we want their clients to have incredible sound quality to enjoy their music and films. These new products make that job even easier.”
