Danish speaker specialist Dynaudio has launched its first architectural custom install loudspeaker range in the UK. The brand has an enviable reputation in the traditional Hi-Fi market, and says it will utilise the same core technology and research for the new models.

All Dynaudio Custom Studio speakers use the company’s legendary soft-dome tweeters with neodymium magnet systems; proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) cones; and large-diameter aluminium voice-coils with internal magnet systems. There’s also the promise of “pre-install mounts, unique tool-free clip-in speaker modules, and near-invisible paintable magnetic grilles.”

Ther line-up comprises both in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, and come in 6.5- and 8-inch versions, with 25mm soft-dome tweeters. The in-ceiling speakers are angled 18 degrees and can be rotated 360 degrees, to fine-tune dispersion.

There’s also an LCR iteration, the S4-LCR65 system, for home theatres. Installers can orientate vertically or horizontally front left, centre and right three-way speaker channels. As the grilles are independent of their frames, positions can be adjusted to satisfy the requirements of architects and interior designers.

The in-walls are also tonally coherent with Dynaudio free-standing speakers, allowing hybrid configurations to be installed.

Distribution is via Custom AV Distribution.

“Adding Dynaudio’s new CI range to our line-up ends a year-long search for a no-compromise speaker brand. I’ve always loved Dynaudio’s traditional stereo speakers, so to be able to offer this level of technology and performance to custom installers is something I’m very excited about. Homes across the UK are going to sound better than ever,” says Jamie Pullen, MD of Custom AV Distribution.
