British projection specialist Digital Projection will unveil the world’s first 8K DLP laser projector at ISE 2018. The INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K delivers a 7680 X 4320 33-million pixel image and has a brightness rated at 25,000 ANSI lumens.

The flagship laser-phosphor projector is intended for medical, scientific and immersive visualisation and large-venue applications, and utilises 3x 1.38-inch DarkChip DMD chips. Digital Projection ColorMax technology is used when matching projectors in tiled or blended applications.

As there are no lamp replacements required, long-term maintenance costs are virtually zero. The company adds that as laser projectors are closely matched out of the box for colour and brightness, s
system matching for blending is optimum. The Insight Dual Laser 8K is expected to ship in Q3 2018.

Other projectors from the brand at ISE will include a range of 1- to 3-chip DLP and with resolutions ranging from WUXGA to 4K and beyond, including Digital Projection’s E-Vision Laser and HIGHlite Laser products.

The company will also introduce the Radiance LED video wall. This new range of 120Hz and 3D capable Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) LED panels is available in four models (Radiance LED 1.2, 1.5, 1.9 and 2.5), up to 1,000 nits with a contrast ratio of 3000:1.

Radiance LED walls are also rated for 24/7 operation and can be configured with power and signal redundancy for mission critical applications.

"The Insight Dual Laser 8K demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation in the solid-state laser projection space, setting an industry standard once again,” says Chris Axford, International Sales & Marketing Director
