In a move it believes will broaden the appeal and understanding
of home automation and system control products, Crestron has become
an official industry partner of the British Institute of Interior
Design (BIID). The brand has also confirmed it'll be sponsoring and
exhibiting at BIID's Celebrating British Design
conference, on the 21st June.
The partnership is a great fit for Crestron, says marketing
manager Petra van Meeuwen, not least because it'll help demystify
home automation technology within the interior design community; it
also provides a unique platform to promote the benefits of
touchpanel control of lighting, drapes, temperature and home
entertainment components.
"We are incredibly pleased to have been accepted as a BIID
Industry Partner," says van Meeuwen. "Crestron is committed to
supporting the interior design industry, and by working with the
BIID we can explain the benefits of technology and the wide range
of options available that can transform projects. It will also give
us a better understanding of interior designer's requirements,
which will help shape our services and products, ultimately
improving how we work with designers."
