Smart home technology specialist Crestron is now shipping its new line of advanced wireless Horizon EX keypads and dimmers. Cosmetically matching, the new line of wall-box controllers promises an aesthetic, versatile control solution for high-end smart homes. With no minimum load requirement they promise more reliable LED dimming.
Available in black, white, and almond with highly configurable 1,2, 3 or 4 gang boxes, the Horizon EX line boast designer aesthetics. There are four different button styles, with interchangeable custom top and bottom trim pieces to suit any décor (optional faceplates are available).
For enhanced readability under various lighting conditions, every model in the Horizon EX line includes multi-colour backlighting which illuminates the high-quality laser engraved text on the buttons. When pressed the can glow up to two to three times brighter than the inactive buttons. Integrators can also program each button to glow in any hue.
Providing a backbone is Crestron’s infiNET EX wireless mesh technology platform. Horizon EX dimmers and keypads can transmit and receive commands and intelligently integrate with lighting, shades, HVAC, security, and AV for a complete smart home.
“Now, with the Horizon EX line, our residential systems integrators can deliver a consistent, elegant look throughout the home for hybrid systems,” says John Clancy, VP Residential at Crestron. “You can’t tell the difference between the dimmers and keypads. The dimmers even have backlit buttons.”
