SVS 3000 Series subwoofers, which promise bigger bass from a new generation of smaller cabinets, are now available in the UK via Karma-AV. The line-up consists of the SB-3000, a sealed cabinet sub with front-firing 13 inch high-excursion SVS driver and the PB-3000, a ported cabinet variant.
Featuring an all-new 13-inch high-excursion SVS driver powered by 800W RMS of amplification and tuned using Analog Devices audio DSP using an SVS smartphone app, the incoming SB (Sealed Box) and PB (Ported Box) models are designed to suit a variety of room locations.
The 13-inch 3000 Series’ drivers are entirely new designs combining proprietary features including a dual-ferrite magnet motor assembly weighing over 11kg, edge-wound voice coils, lightweight aluminium venter cones, and a long-throw parabolic driver surround built for pronounced excursion and sound poressure levels.
Powering the 3000 Series is a Sledge STA-800D2 amplifier. A 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering is available to fine-tune the output. The SVS subwoofer DSP smartphone app was first launched with the flagship SVS 16-Ultra subwoofers, and offers volume control and a three-band parametric EQ. there are custom presets for music, movies and gaming. Bluetooth connectivity delivers full system access.
The SB-3000 (Black Ash) sells for £1,275, the SB-3000 (Black Gloss) £1,349.00, and PB-3000 (Black Ash) for £1,549.
