Classic British audio brand Leak is back with its first new products in over 40 years, the Stereo 130 integrated amplifier and CDT CD transport.
Blending retro design and classic analogue engineering with leading edge digital technologies, the all-new Stereo 130 comes with optional real-wood enclosure and both wired and wireless connectivity.
In addition to an MM phono stage, it sports analogue line-level inputs and optical, coaxial and asynchronous USB digital connections. It supports hi-res PCM (up to 32-bit/384kHz) and DSD (up to 11.2MHz/DSD256), as well as aptX Bluetooth streaming.
Beneath the hood is a Class AB power amp, rated at 2x 45W into 8 Ohms, and a ES9018K2M Sabre32 Reference DAC.
The CDT CD transport incorporates the same slot-loading mechanism used by sister-company Audiolab. As well as spinning CDs, the Leak CDT features a front-mounted USB input, enabling playback from USB storage devices, with WAV, AAC, WMA and MP3 files support.Founded in 1934 by Harold Joseph Leak, pioneering British hi-fi manufacturer, Leak was a pivotal player during the early years of the British hi-fi scene, responsible for many technological firsts, including the Point One series of valve amplifiers and Sandwich speakers.
Leak is now part of the International Audio Group alongside Audiolab, Luxman, Mission, Quad and Wharfedale
The Leak Stereo 130 is available with or without a real-wood walnut enclosure, priced at £799 and £699 respectively. The Leak CDT sells for £549 with and £449 without its optional wood enclosure.
