High-end projector brand Cineversum has inked a distribution and support deal with Genesis Technologies. The arrangement establishes Genesis as the brand's exclusive European partner, serving dealers through the UK, France, Benelux, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.

Genesis Technologies will be offering sales, technical and training back-up services across the entire Cineversum range, which includes the BlackWing, Cineversum and Force Series of high-performance home theatre projectors, from its Genesis Xperience centres located in London, Geneva, Paris, Marbella, Barcelona and Antwerp.

Cineversum was orginally launched as a dedicated consumer brand by Barco. In September 2004, the Technic Electronic Conseil (T.E.C.) acquired worldwide distribution rights to Barco's home theatre business, including the Cineversum trademark. The BlackWing line was named Product of the Year in 2008 by Electronic House magazine.

Genesis Technologies' Wim De Voss says that his team is uniquely placed to offer Cineversum the technical support required "to create stunning home cinemas and media rooms for customers who demand the very best." Cineversum head Jean-Claude Younes reveals it was this level of expertise which really sealed the deal: "The fact that Genesis counts several ISF trainers and ISF trained integration consultants, and even the original Research and Development team behind the Cineversum range at Barco amongst its team guarantees us an abundance of skills in projection systems."
