Californian CI speaker and electronics brand Current Audio is now available in the UK, France and Spain via Computers Unlimited's fast expanding Digital Home division. The arrangement covers the entire Current Audio line, which includes in-ceiling and in-wall architectural speakers, outdoor speakers, multichannel amplifiers, subwoofers and custom installation accessories.
Glenn McClelland, CU's Group Commercial Director, believes the quality of the Current Audio product portfolio speaks for itself. "We're delighted to be representing this innovative and award-winning range of custom installation audio products," he says. The deal provides Current Audio access to CU's network of 4,000+ dealers throughout the UK and Europe.
Sean McDermott, president of Current Audio, says that because his team are industry veterans with more than 30 years of engineering and manufacturing experience, they have a clear understanding of what integrators need. "I can confidently say that our team actually grasps what the custom installation market requires when it comes to the design and manufacture of premium audio products, from ease of installation, to margin, to performance." He maintains every product is built with the needs of today's custom integrator in mind, from concept to construction.
In related news, CU is beefing up its Paris-based operation with a French-speaking support team; a formal announcement on this is imminent.
