Chord Electronics portable streamer/server for the Hugo 2 DAC, the 2go, as well as the Poly, a sister DAC streaming module for the Mojo, have been updated with improved music performance and playback, following a firmware release for the company’s Gofigure configuration app.
Gofigure provides network set-up and simple settings management, as well as an easy-to-use set-up wizard. It also facilitates direct Bluetooth set-up and playback, and also offers step-by-step configuration using Hotspot mode.
The latest Gofigure version, Android 1.2.81 and iOS 2.04, benefits from an updated user interface for better ease of use, a music tab to navigate to the quick play radio/SD card playlist playback, plus improved device discovery on Bluetooth. In addition, Android users can benefit from Wi-Fi configuration, a feature which will follow later on iOS.
2go users will need to install the new version of Gofigure to control the device. Poly users are also advised to undertake a fresh install to get the most from their existing equipment.
iOS 13 and Android 7 (or higher) are recommended for Gofigure. Poly will also require the latest firmware (2.0.4) before installing the latest version of the app.
Integrators should note that the 2go turns the Hugo2 into a Roon compliant streaming solution, with WiFi and Ethernet network connections.
