Bowers & Wilkins has upgraded its 600 series loudspeakers with a new seventh generation line, dubbed the 600 Series Anniversary Edition.

25 years since their original debut, the 600 Series has offered a tuneful balance between performance and value. The range is the company’s second-longest continuously available loudspeaker line after the 800 Series Diamond.

The incoming Anniversary Edition features four models that combine trickle down technologies and new style options, adding oak to the existing matte black or matte white finishes.

Acoustic upgrades include upgraded crossovers, with improved bypass capacitors, first introduced in the recently launched 700 Series Signature range.

The main high-frequency and mid-frequency capacitors have also been upgraded with new, improved designs. The result, says the company, is greatly improved resolution and transparency.

The new models have an Anniversary logo inscribed on the tweeter surround, in either light or dark finishes, depending on the colour of the rest of the speaker.
System builders can choose from ‘s2’ 607, 606, 603 models, alongside the dedicated HTM6 centre channel speaker. The existing ASW608, ASW610 and ASW610XP subwoofers, and the STAV24 S2 speaker stand, continue unchanged.

The brand has also announced a 600 Series Anniversary Edition Theatre home cinema package, based on the 603 S2, 607 S2 and HTM6 S2, partnered by the ASW610 subwoofer.
