Hi-res audio multiroom specialist Bluesound has announced a new system remote control, the RC1. To be sold separately from its players, the RC1 will give users of its Gen 2 and Gen 2i products access to the most commonly used playback controls like track forward and backward, volume up and down, play and pause, as well as up to 10 custom presets.
The RC1 works out of the box with any Gen 2 or Gen 2i Bluesound player, as well as any BluOS Enabled products from sister brand NAD Electronics, including the Masters M50.2 Digital Music Player, Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC (coming soon), and a number of products from the Custom Install line.
BluOS Enabled products can be those with BluOS built-in, or BluOS Ready products enabled by NAD’s Modular Design Concept (MDC). Helpfully the RC1comes with eight IR channels, to avoid conflict with other infrared control devices in the home.
Available in a matte black finish, it’ll retail for £49 when it goes on sale in December.
