Bang & Olufsen has announced a new collaboration with the director David Lynch. The auteur is best known for his dark movies, and the TV show Twin Peaks, but he’s also an artist. A special edition speaker collection will feature selected images from his ‘War Between the Shapes’ series, created in the Seventies and from the ‘Paris Suite’ lithographs created in 2007.

Lynch is a self-proclaimed long-time patron of the company. “I’m honoured to be part of this special collaboration,” he says. “Bang & Olufsen has always been known for great sound and great design.”

The collection will debut at a Bang & Olufsen pop-up at MoMA Design Store, Soho in New York City, inspired by imagery from Lynch’s films. “MoMA has a long history of working with David Lynch, and a number of Bang & Olufsen objects are in The Museum’s permanent collection,” explains MoMA Design Store Director of Merchandising, Emmanuel Plat. “Because of these connections, it was a natural fit for MoMA Design Store to premier this unique collaboration.”

The special edition speaker collection includes a very limited number of the Beoplay A9, and the Beosound Shape wall-mounted wireless speaker system.
