Bang & Olufsen has announced the BeoVision Eclipse Wood Edition, the latest variant of its high-end Hi-Fi OLED TV.
The creation of award-winning designer Torsten Valeur, the Eclipse Wood Edition comes with a handmade oak speaker cover. The design is a match for the oak elements in the brand’s high-end speakers BeoLab 18 and BeoLab 50, which can be connected using the TV’s surround sound decoder.
Bang & Olufsen has a tradition of using wood in the product design, explains Senior Concept Lead Kresten Bjørn Krab-Bjerre: “We feel obliged to keep innovating the use of a material that has played an integral part in our products since 1925. Oak is a material that patinates beautifully, and by adding this option to our flagship TV we reinforce our commitment to provide people with the flexibility to match our designs to their personal interior style.”
The TV has an integrated 450W 3-channel SoundCentre, with built-in internet radio and music streaming services. A motorized floor stand can adjust the viewing position; the Eclipse can also be wall mounted with a motorised or manual bracket.
The BeoVision Eclipse Wood Edition is available in 55- and 65-inch screen sizes, priced at £8,195 and 11,495 respectively. Existing Eclipse owners can buy a separate oak speaker cover for their TVs, for £895.
The BeoVision Eclipse Wood Edition and separate speaker cover are available in Bang & Olufsen stores from April 2018.
