It's being hailed as the best plasma television ever made, and now AWE has picked it up for distribution into the CI trade. The VT50 is the latest top of the line NeoPDP from Panasonic and the first to sport a dual core processor, which enhances the TV's ability to stream content from Panasonic's VIERA Connect online portal.

Paul Mott, AWE's Sales Director says the set represents a significant step up from last year's VT30: "It sets a new standard for the premium plasma TV market - it's a fantastic looking model with a top quality sleek new finish. We're certain it's a winner, and we're sure our dealers and their customers will agree."

Available as the 65-inch TX-P65VT50, 55-inch TX-P55VT50 and 50-inch TX-P50VT50, the screen features an edge-to-edge glass design with a subtle chrome edge and minimal visible bezel. It has both Freeview HD and Freesat tuners.

VT50s are also THX certified for both 2D and 3D, and boast a raft of picture improvement technologies, including Infinite Black Filter Ultra technology for deep blacks and huge contrast, plus a new cell structure designed to reduce light loss. Brighter than previous generations of plasma, the panel is said to be competitive with LED LCD in well-lit rooms for the first time. The screen also features a 2,500 Focused Field Drive, to reduce motion trailing and 3D double imaging.
