A new luxury audio visual brand is launching in the UK. American outfit AudioXperts, headed up by hi-fi industry veteran Eli Harary (ex-Harman Group, amongst others), will debut with a selection of home entertainment and personal audio products that promise "real solutions to upscale consumer needs that are not currently available."

Specifically, this includes a TV audio plinth (pictured above), launched under the 4TV sub-brand, that offers an alternative to soundbars; eco-centric docks and radios, and an ingenious line of slimline speakers which fit into corners ("they were inspired by my wife," says Harary), called Korners. Product design is by Kieron Dunk, who has previously worked with Denon and Marantz.

The 4TV model 2112 is a 200w RMS stereo sound console, designed to have a flatpanel TV placed upon it. It comes with a swiveling base. It's partnered by the 55-inch wide 5122, which adds a matching wireless subwoofer which can sit under the console or stood separately elsewhere in a room. The 5112 features multiple drivers, including side-facing speakers, for a surround sound effect. It's rated at 500w RMS output. Both units feature an Apple Airport Express (30-pin) port, allowing AirPlay functionality to be added. The units are expected to be priced at £2,000 and £4,000 when they begin shipping in January.

Demonstrations of the console impress, not least because of the prodigious bass they produce. "We had to design completely new proprietary drivers for these 4TV models," explains Harary.

The  Korners line offers a very different solution for multi-channel installs. The initial line up consists of a 68cm tall floorstander and a 55-inch wide centre, available with paintable fascias. They will be sold alongside a matching 100w Kompact subwoofer, currently in development.
