Arcam has announced a quartet of lavishly equipped new home cinema hardware. The AVR11, AVR21 and AVR31 receivers, and AV41 processor, all feature 8K@60fps connectivity, and support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D, along with Apple Airplay2, Bluetooth with aptX HD, Google Chromecast, MQA, Spotify Connect, Roon and TIDAL Connect.
The new models utilise dual ESS9026PRO DACs, with ESS reference voltage regulators. HDR compliance covers Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
To aid installation, the amps are supplied with a room calibration mic and Dirac Live room correction software. Installers can accurately create a larger sweet spot, with accurate staging, clarity, and voice intelligibility. There’s also support for Dirac Live Bass Control, which uses bass management to maximise low-frequency loudspeaker performance.
The AVR11 and AVR21 are seven channel designs, with 7 x 85W and 7 x x110W Class AB power respectively. The AVR11 actually features native 12-channel decoding, with the AVR21 adding a further four channels. The AVR21 also boasts a third HDMI output, for multiroom Zone 2 installation.
The AVR31 steps performance up a gear with seven channels of Class G amplification. Class G implements multiple power supplies, rather than just a single supply. In use, the secondary supply is gradually brought in up to full rated power output as needed.
Completing the line is the AV41 processor. Featuring XLR balanced outputs for all 16 channels, the AV41 is intended to partner the brand’s PA720, PA240, and PA410 power amplifiers.
The AVR11, AVR21, AVR31 and AV41 retail for £2,799, £3,799, £5,799 and £4,499 respectively. They’re available from Q2 2022.
