Aquavision has launched a range of outdoor TVs which it says can withstand nearly all extreme weather conditions. The Horizon waterproof sets are based on its established Nexus+ and Elite 4K range, and are available in  32-, 42-, 55-, 65- and 85-inch screen sizes.  All sport anti-reflective LED screens designed to provide optimum viewing even in the brightest sunshine.

Typical installations might involve marine, pool or patio locations. The sets have standard VESA mounts and offer IP, RS232 and discrete IR control. The range is fully compatible with all leading control systems. They will operate in temperatures of -40° and up to 110° C.

Connectivity includes two HDMIs and twin USB. They are IP65 rated against water, dust, sand, moisture and insects.

“We’ve been developing this outdoor range for a while and are really excited about the Horizon,” comments Alastair Benn, managing director. “It combines much of the technology from our top of the range in-wall sets with the added benefits of the ultra high brightness levels of 350-2500 cd/m2.”

In May, the brand was awarded the Best Integrated TV/Display of the Year at the prestigious 2017 Smart Building Awards. The award was for the ConnectTV Active module, which enables a television to control all inputs and power via a single Cat5 or greater cable using HDBaseT. Aquavision televisions are manufactured in the UK.
