Networking product specialist Luxul has expanded its offerings with the dual-band XWR-600 wireless router and 8-Port XGS-1008P Gigabit switch. Designed to offer a high level of reliability in even difficult environments, this new Luxul duo have residential and commercial applications. Distribution is via Invision UK.
The slimline XWR-600 is a low-cost 2.4GHz/ 5GHz band solution able to deliver combined wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps per band, which should mean it takes HD video streaming, multiplayer gaming and large file sharing in its stride. Connectivity includes one WAN and four LAN Gigabit ports, plus USB 2.0 for printer connection or hard drive. The feature set also includes WPS, guest networking and integrated firewall. The router can also be keyholed for wall or ceiling mounting.
The partnering XGS-1008P 8-Port Gigabit PoE/PoE+ Switch, (pictured below) can be used with PoE-enabled devices such as VoIP, IP cameras and Wireless AP's. All 8 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 ports support standard 802.3af/at devices, providing up to 30w of power per port, for a total power budget of 125w. The switch can be surface, wall or 19-inch rack mounted.
