Epson has unveiled a new range of portable projectors with enhanced connectivity and networking features. The 3LCD line, comprising EB-S27, EB-X27, EB-W29, EB-98H, EB-945H, EB-955WH (pictured above) and EB-965H, boast a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,700 – 3,500 lumens brightness. The range can be used in a variety of environments, from boardrooms and classrooms to home office spaces.

In addition to legacy and HDMI AV connections, the models offer smart device hook-up using iProjection QR code connectivity; just scan a projected QR code using your smart device to connect. Smartphone content can also be projected onto a larger screen via MHL. Wired LAN connection and optional Wi-Fi is standard across the range. Also included is multi-PC projection software which allows content from up to four devices, including PCs, tablets and smartphones, to be displayed simultaneously. A moderator function allows the host, be it lecturer or presenter, to take control of displayed content from all devices. A new AV mute function also allows the host to pause a presentation, dimming the lamp by 70 per cent.

Installation tools include horizontal and vertical keystone correction, while resolution support varies across the range. Lamp life is quoted at 10,000 hours in eco mode. Prices start from £351 (inc VAT) for the EB-S27, rising to £691 for the EB-956.
