Control specialist Elan has expanded its range of touch panels with the Elan gTP7, a new 7-inch screen from ELAN g! The gTP7 is a slick alternative to wall-mounting an iPad, providing a dedicated user interface which it insists is flexible enough to use in any project. Distribution is via Invision UK.

Having a function-specific interface provides the end-user with a much richer experience, says Elan. A proximity sensor means the gTP7 wakes when a hand approaches, and there’s a seven button fly-out keypad, available via a swipe, that can operate media, trigger lighting scenes or installer programmed events, as well as anything else compatible connected to the system.

The gTP7 can be installed horizontally or vertically, and mounts using a 2 gang US-style back box. An included mounting ring provides support over smooth and uneven wall surfaces. The gTP7 simply snaps into the bracket, no special tools needed. The panel supports PoE (Power over Ethernet), but can utilise a 12VDC power supply.

Elan gTP7’s are available with black or white trim, and are compatible with all gSC series controllers. Features include a built in IP camera, speaker and echo cancelling microphones for use with upcoming g! features.
