There’s a Rio Olympic halo around Dahua Technology security systems. Distributed by Habitech, video surveillance solutions provided by the company have played a key role provides security for venues and surrounding locations. In support of an immense $895 million security investment by the game's organisers, Dahua’s cameras have been delivering HD images and ntelligent video analytics.

For the operation, HD video from the cameras was fed through a private network to surveillance hubs inside the Olympic Park and the Rio de Janeiro Operation Centre, where individuals and objects could be monitored in protection of spectators and athletes. Dahua provided a total of 1,823 high-resolution IP, dome, and 30x optical zoom pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras for the project, supported by full technical and commercial backup including settings configuration, operator training and integration with third-party platforms.

Over the course of the games, Dahua’s security solutions have helped with medical emergencies, combat vandalism and detect abandoned or missing objects.
